Government allocates 1.6 billion drams for subsidies![]() June 18, 2026 - 13:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government has approved state support for a number of community development initiatives and will allocate 1 billion 634 million drams from the state budget to co-finance subsidy programs implemented by local communities. “I present the government decision draft on co-financing community development programs with state participation in the amount of 1 billion 634 million drams,” Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan said during a cabinet meeting, according to Panorama.am. The minister noted that the proposal provides co-financing for 16 subsidy projects in 13 communities. Khudatyan also outlined the regional distribution of the projects to receive support:
He added that, with the approval of the current package, the total volume of co-financed programs will reach 7 billion 35 million drams. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, following his usual practice, also listed all of the approved projects. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
