Former MP Ruben Hakobyan detained![]() June 19, 2026 - 12:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Former National Assembly deputy Ruben Hakobyan has been detained within the framework of a criminal proceeding being investigated by the Investigative Committee, according to RFE/RL. The Investigative Committee has not disclosed details about the case. Earlier on the morning of June 19, Hakobyan wrote on his Facebook page that “they have come to detain me.” He also did not provide further details. “At this moment, they have come to detain me. The bloodthirsty traitor of the Armenian nation continues his vile actions. You two-legged monster, you will nevertheless answer for beheading Artsakh and thousands of soldiers in order to keep your power, and for wiping your feet, together with the enemy, on the dignity of our state. Remember that...” Hakobyan wrote. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
