Armenia, Georgia discuss customs cooperation![]() June 20, 2026 - 11:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan held a meeting with Mikheil Maglakelidze, the newly appointed head of the Revenue Service of Georgia’s Ministry of Finance. The parties discussed a number of issues related to trade and economic relations between Armenia and Georgia, as well as cooperation in the customs sector, the Armenian Embassy reported. Earlier, Georgia’s Ministry of Agriculture denied media reports claiming that Armenian agricultural products, particularly strawberries, had been supplied to Russia through Georgian territory. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
