Georgia sharply increases flower imports from Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Georgia imported 218.2 tons of flowers from Armenia in May, marking the highest monthly volume on record, Armenpress reports.

According to data from Georgia’s national statistics service, flower imports from Armenia increased 2.9-fold in May compared with the same month last year, reaching 218.2 tons. Compared with April 2026, imports from Armenia rose by 89 percent in May, setting a new record. The previous high was recorded in March 2026, when imports totaled 128.9 tons.

The report notes that flowers imported from Armenia are not being re-exported. According to official data, Georgia did not export any products in this category to international markets during the past month.

Overall, Georgia imported 341.7 tons of flowers in May. In addition to Armenia, flower suppliers to the Georgian market included Ecuador, the Netherlands, Kenya, Turkey, China, South Africa, and Italy.
