PanARMENIAN.Net - A passenger aircraft operating the Gyumri–Moscow route and transmitting an emergency alert has landed safely in Makhachkala, TASS reports.

According to Pobeda Airlines, specialists are currently assessing the technical condition of the aircraft that was operating flight DP-856 from Gyumri to Moscow.

Earlier reports, citing Flightradar data, said the Boeing aircraft departed Gyumri at 11:24 a.m. Moscow time.

Approximately one hour after takeoff, while flying over the territory of Dagestan, the aircraft transmitted a general emergency signal and descended to an altitude of about 3,000 meters.
