The information was shared by the Turkish minister on his X account. “During our meeting with Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan, we discussed efforts to restore the railway and road connections that were actively used between our countries in the past. By initiating the necessary maintenance work on our side, we also assessed the progress achieved by the Armenian side in preparatory and tendering processes,” Uraloğlu wrote, according to Factor.am. He also noted that the ministers discussed the restoration of the historic Ani Bridge, located along the Silk Road route. The sides exchanged views on measures that could contribute to the restoration and preservation of one of the important symbols of their shared historical heritage. Earlier on Tuesday, the Connectivity Agenda Platform initiative of the European Union opened in Brussels. The initiative aims to strengthen connections between Europe and Central Asia through the Black Sea region and the South Caucasus. The event brought together transport ministers and other senior officials from EU member states, as well as Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
