Four party members are currently seeking the position. One of the contenders is MP Arman Yeghoyan. He confirmed the information, stating that he has already been nominated to participate in the party's internal selection process, according to Factor.am . According to Factor.am , Arusyak Julhakyan has also expressed interest in becoming deputy speaker. She could not be reached for comment and did not respond to multiple phone calls. It had previously become known that Alkhas Ghazaryan and Vahagn Aleksanyan are also seeking the post. Both have confirmed the information. Their nominations are subject to approval by the Civil Contract governing board. The Speaker of the National Assembly has three deputies, two representing the governing majority and one representing the opposition. The opposition deputy speaker's post will go to the Strong Armenia faction if it takes up its parliamentary mandates. The Civil Contract governing board has approved Ruben Rubinyan's candidacy for the post of Speaker of the National Assembly. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
