Rubinyan, Grono discuss regional stability![]() July 6, 2026 - 15:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly Vice Speaker Ruben Rubinyan met on July 6 with Magdalena Grono, the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia. The two discussed issues related to regional security and stability. They also exchanged views on transport and logistics opportunities, as well as the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process. The European Commission has allocated €34 million to Armenia to help mitigate the impact of Russian trade restrictions on the country's private sector. The funding is the first tranche of a broader support package announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, aimed at strengthening Armenia's economic resilience through trade facilitation and solidarity measures. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
