Court orders seizure of Sargsyan assets worth AMD 630M

PanARMENIAN.Net - Assets worth approximately 630 million drams, along with accrued bank deposit interest, shares in real estate and a parking space, will be confiscated from Armenia's third president, Serzh Sargsyan, in favor of the Republic of Armenia.

On July 3, 2026, Armenia's Anti-Corruption Court partially upheld the Prosecutor General's Office's claim for the confiscation of property of alleged illicit origin against Sargsyan and persons associated with him.

Once the ruling enters into legal force, the following assets will be subject to confiscation in favor of the Republic of Armenia:

  • A 38 percent share of an apartment on Teryan Street in Yerevan's Kentron district.
  • Full ownership of one parking space on Teryan Street in Yerevan's Kentron district.
  • A 38 percent share of another parking space on Teryan Street in Yerevan's Kentron district.
  • Bank deposits totaling 202,998,000 drams, accrued interest on those deposits amounting to 74,716,000 drams, as well as any additional interest accrued on the deposits and accumulated interest until the court ruling is fully enforced.
  • An additional 352,438,000 drams.
