PanARMENIAN.Net - Grandmaster Levon Aronian finished first in the qualifying stage of the Biel Chess Festival 2026, held in Biel, Switzerland, from July 12 to 19, securing his place in the tournament's final stage.

The other players to qualify for the final are Aydin Suleymanli, Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus, and Le Quang Liem, Panorama.am reported.

The final stage of the tournament will take place from July 21 to 23 in a round-robin format.

Aronian competes under the U.S. flag.
