Case against Davit Ghazinyan goes to court

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prosecutors have referred the criminal case against Davit Ghazinyan, a parliamentary candidate from the Strong Armenia alliance, to the Anti-Corruption Court after approving the indictment on July 21.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, the criminal proceedings investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee found that D.G., a parliamentary candidate from the Strong Armenia alliance, acting in prior agreement with A.M., who effectively coordinated the work of the alliance's campaign office at 73, Building 29, V. Papazyan Street in Yerevan, alliance supporter A.S., and other individuals, allegedly prepared to offer election bribes to voters in exchange for voting for the Strong Armenia alliance in the regular National Assembly elections scheduled for June 7, 2026.

To carry out the alleged criminal plan, D.G. handed A.S. 1.4 million drams to be used for election bribes. However, because of disagreements among the alleged accomplices over how the money should be distributed and passed to voters, the planned crime was not completed due to circumstances beyond D.G.'s control. The money was later transferred to A.M.

Within the same criminal proceedings, public criminal prosecutions have also been initiated against A.M., A.S., L.S., S.H., G.H., H.G., and P.J. on allegations of giving election bribes, preparing to give election bribes, and receiving election bribes.
