Catholicos not yet invited to inaugural parliament session

PanARMENIAN.Net - Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II has not yet received an invitation to attend the inaugural session of Armenia's 9th National Assembly. Father Yesayi Artenyan, director of the Mother See's press service, said this, according to Pastinfo.

The participation of the Catholicos of All Armenians in the inaugural session of the National Assembly is stipulated by the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly.

Asked whether there had previously been a similar case in which the Catholicos was not invited to the National Assembly's inaugural session or did not attend it, Father Yesayi Artenyan did not respond.

"If there is any other information, we will notify you," Father Yesayi said.

The inaugural session of the 9th National Assembly will take place on August 2 at 10 a.m.
