Minister says Firebird AI facility to open soon

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan has visited Firebird AI's artificial intelligence data center under construction in Hrazdan, where he reviewed the final preparations for the launch of the company's AI factory.

In a Facebook post, the minister said the facility is expected to begin operations in the coming days.

"What seemed impossible just months ago has now become a reality. Firebird AI's AI factory in the city of Hrazdan will be launched within days," he wrote.

The minister was accompanied during the visit by Alexander Yesayan, co-founder of Firebird AI.

The visit also included discussions on the project's next stages of development. Hayrapetyan said the strategic project implemented by Firebird would play an important role in advancing Armenia's technological development and strengthening its international competitiveness by creating new opportunities for the research community, startups, high-tech companies and the public sector.

"The partnership between the Government of Armenia and Firebird is transforming the country from a consumer of technology into one capable of offering advanced artificial intelligence products and solutions to the world, ready to help shape the rules of the future," the statement said.

The project's first phase предусматривает an investment of $500 million, while total investment is expected to reach approximately $5 billion in subsequent phases.
