David Harutyunyan against creating a new fact-finding groupJune 30, 2009 - 18:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "The fact-finding group could have worked perfectly provided there were atmosphere of trust and openness. Today, it's necessary to create favorable conditions for the interim parliamentary committee which is to publish a final report on the activities accomplished," Republican MP David Haroutyunyan, Head of Armenian delegation in PACE, told today a news conference.As noted by the speaker, there are still many questions requiring an answer, "Expert group materials submitted to the parliamentary committee are still being studied. It still remains to clarify the 10 individuals' death circumstances, a question demanding a final answer," he noted. Harutyunyan expressed his negative attitude to the idea of creating a new fact-finding group. "I find that creating a new group and involving in it international experts is a very dangerous idea doomed to failure. It doesn't lead to anything good, as shown by other countries' experience" the speaker said. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
