Investigation ends in Facebook hooliganism case![]() July 29, 2026 - 14:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Lori Regional Investigative Department of Armenia's Investigative Committee has completed the pre-trial investigation into a criminal case concerning alleged hooliganism committed on Facebook. According to the investigation, on May 9, 2026, A.O. allegedly used his Facebook account and information technologies to intentionally commit hooliganism by publishing a video containing a photograph of 61-year-old H.M. and obscene language. Investigators allege the video was posted because of H.M.'s political views and his support for the Civil Contract party, demonstrating what authorities describe as open contempt for accepted moral standards. By decision of the supervising prosecutor, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against A.O. on charges of committing hooliganism through the use of information or communication technologies. The criminal case has been forwarded to the supervising prosecutor with the indictment for approval and a request that it subsequently be referred to court. Notice: A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a final court judgment that has entered into legal force in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
