Military, ICRC discuss cooperation priorities

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 29, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Edward Asryan received a delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Armenia, led by Daphne Marais.

The meeting focused on the main areas of cooperation between the Armenian Armed Forces and the ICRC, as well as assistance provided to the Armed Forces in the field of international humanitarian law.

Asryan highly praised the joint work and its results, thanking the ICRC delegation for its cooperation and support in strengthening the capabilities of the Armenian Armed Forces.

For her part, Daphne Marais reviewed the progress of the long-standing cooperation, emphasizing that one of its primary objectives is the continued development of the Armed Forces’ capacity to integrate international humanitarian law into their activities.
