Armenian opposition lost popular confidence

PanARMENIAN.Net - Strong opposition is needed for formation of a strong state system, according to a member of the Republican Party of Armenia.

"Although the rally was much spoken about, only 4500-5000 people came. It means that the opposition has lost popular confidence," said Gagik Melikyan.

"We do not say that our government is perfect and that there are no problems with corruption," Melikyan said, adding that the opposition doesn't offer any solution to improve the situation in the republic.

He also denied that roads are blocked to prevent flows of people to Yerevan on the days when rallies are organized.
