US disapproves Israel's plan for attacking IranJuly 7, 2009 - 14:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - US State Department is trying to smooth Vice President Jospeph Biden's statement on Washington's intention stop Israel from launching preventive attack on Iran's nuclear bases. About a day after Biden's statement on ABC TV channel, State Department gave official response in which it says that the United States disapproved Israel's plan for attacking Iran. "We wouldn't certainly want to give a green light to any kind of military action," State Department representative Ian Kelly stressed. "United States share Israel's fears of Iranian threat, but Washington should be aware of Jerusalem's decision in the given aspect. Israel is a sovereign state, and its decision will not meet any obstacles by United States," US State Department quotes Kelli as saying. Mr. Biden announced previously that US had no right to dictate the actions of a sovereign state, and it was up to Israel to determine whether or not to strike any targets in Iran.
