United States extends it condolences to families of victims

PanARMENIAN.Net - In connection with the recent air crash, US State Department has released a statement which particularly says, "The United States extends it condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in today's crash of a Caspian Airlines plane carrying passengers from Tehran, Iran to Yerevan, Armenia. We are working through the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan and the Swiss Protecting Power in Iran to determine whether any American citizens were on board."



Tu-154 aircraft belonging to Caspian Airlines company crashed town near the Iranian town of Kazvin. All 153 passenger and 15 crew members died. July 16 has been declared as a mourning day in Armenia. Iran has declared a three-day mourning.
