Yerevan hosted Start-up forumJuly 17, 2009 - 20:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Upon the initiative of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE), Yerevan has today hosted a Start-up forum devoted to methods of assisting new IT firms.Participants focused special attention on the fact that Armenia does not provide tax privileges for newly established companies. The principal task for new companies is to form a team, and spend resources for the education and development of its members. Particularly, it was proposed that universities introduce detailed marketing study courses for those who wish to establish private companies in future. Participants also discussed issues concerning organization of PR campaigns for newly-established firms. Summing up conference results, UITE Exec utive Director Karen Vardanayan made a proposal for sponsoring the activities of a separate Start-up structure and expressed willingness to cooperate with new [Start-up] companies in future.
