  TV tower closed for preventive reasons: no need to worryJuly 21, 2009 - 17:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Every three months, Yerevan TV Tower is closed down for preventive reasons, Samvel Papyan, Deputy General Director on TV-radio broadcast transmission told a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent. That's very important for cooling down the electric equipment which is often overexposed to heat. "Schedule for preventive closedowns is drawn up at the beginning of every year and sent to all TV stations. I am unaware why they didn't inform public about it, although they were obliged to," he stressed.The closedown of all TV stations on July 21 has caused concerns in society.
