However, the new product will be available on retail market beginning October 22, 2009, whereas corporate clients who have signed Volume Licensing agreement will be able to acquire Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 beginning September 1. Subscribers to Software Assurance may activate Windows 7 much earlier, by loading the distribution kit via the Internet.
