AMERICAN ARMENIANS DISAPPOINTED WITH BUSH'S ADDRESS

PanARMENIAN.Net - As «Mediamx» reports, US President George Bush called the events at the beginning of the century «the appalling tragedy" in his statement of commemoration issued on the 87th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. "These appalling events have left wounds that still hurt people in Armenia and in the whole world. I share the grief of the Armenians in the USA and in the whole world". In this connection the Armenian National Committee of America Executive Director Aram Hamparian stated the Armenian community in the USA "is strongly displeased and disappointed with the fact that President Bush has not kept his election promise again". "Unfortunately we have again become the witnesses of the American administration participation in Turkish policy of Armenian Genocide denial", said Hamparian.
