Paintings by Armenian artists disappeared from Artashat Cultural CenterAugust 11, 2009 - 12:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Three painting - «Summer Night» (Tsolak Azizyan), «Baking Lavash» (Grigor Aghasyan) and «Earth» (Gaspello Gasparyan) - are reported to be missing from Artashat Cultural Center after Charles Aznavur. They were among the 190 canvases temporarily handed over to the center by RA Culture Ministry.Director of Artashat Cultural Center proved to be negligent of his direct duties, RA Police press service reports. Failure to ensure security control resulted in the loss of 3 paintings which had a total cost of AMD 580 thousand. Missing canvases are currently being searched.
