Azeri media distorted statement made by Secretary General of International European Movement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Speaking in Baku in an August 13 press conference, International European Movement's Secretary General Diogo Pinto introduced his organization's position on NKR conflict settlement. He stressed in particular that International European Movement welcomed negotiation process, attaching importance to 2 basic principles: territorial integrity and NKR people's right to self-determination.

Azerbaijani media, particularly "Today.az" Web site, fully distorted the statement, insisting that Secretary General approved conflict settlement only in the context of territorial integrity.

Diogo Pinto denied Azeri media reports. The news disseminated by "Today.az" is pure disinformation, International European Movement's press service reports.
