Armenia, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan to take part in West 2009 military drills

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia and Kazakhstan will dispatch their armed forces to participate in West 2009 Belarusian-Russian operative strategic military drills due on September 18-29 in Belarus, CSTO spokesman Vitaly Sturgovets said. According to him, Armenia's armed forces will consist of a task force, while Khazakstan will represent a landing assault group.



The active phase of trainings is scheduled for September 27-28, Russian media quote Sturgovets as saying.
