Misha Aloyan was head and shoulders above Gizhlaryan, his coach says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Edward Kravtsov, coach of Armenian boxer Misha Aloyan (w/c 51 kg.) who, representing Russia in World Championship, held two victories and qualified for 1/8 final, has expressed views on his trainee's first single combats against Burundi Ruanga and Derenik Gizhlaryan.



"In the first fight, Misha was competing against Yaya Runang from Burunda, so we won with great advantage (25:2). Derenik Gizhlaryan, second boxer representing Armenia, turned out a good competitor but we didn't have to use full-scale program in fight against him. In the 1/8 final we'll meet with Valenzuela Barillas Eddi who is a stronger boxer," Sportbox.ru quotes Kravtsov as saying.



Aloyan's coach also said that in the boxing fight against Armenian representative, he was frightened by the umpires' prejudiced attitude to his trainee.



I was anxious to see American umpire stop pressing the button in proper time and record minus in his score till the last minute of third round. But Aloyan was head and shoulders above Gizhlaryan, so missed scores did not much affect him. But our boxers are now in normal psychological state and high fighting spirit," the coach said.
