US JEWISH LOBBY TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING TURKS IN ARMENIAN GENOCIDE CASE

PanARMENIAN.Net - The US Jewish lobby will continue supporting Turks in the cause of recognition of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey at the beginning of the last century. As reported by «Arminfo» agency making reference to «Turkish daily news» newspaper being publishing in Ankara, this follows from the statements made by chief of the Israeli foreign ministry Western Europe department Viktor Harel and Israeli ambassador to the European Union Garry Kneital. In their words, the US Jewish lobby is ready to contribute to Turkey to the utmost, including in the question of «preventing the demands of the Armenians.» This is so in spite of premier Bulent Ecevit's recent statement that Israeli actions in Palestine should be qualified as «genocide.» Although Ecevit later made an attempt «to bring to naught» his statement's official effect stating that his words were misinterpreted. In response to Turkish premier's pronouncements US Jewish lobby organizations addressed his apparatus two letters expressing «profound disappointment».
