Tigran Sargsyan: Today is a day of pride for each of us

PanARMENIAN.Net - For each of us, Independence Day is a good occasion for contemplating the history of our statehood, its achievements and challenges. Such retrospective look is an opportunity to think about future tasks and outline future programs, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan says in his congratulatory address devoted to the 18th anniversary of Armenia's independence.

"Today is also a day of pride for each of us. Gaining independence is not enough; it is necessary to maintain and strengthen it every day and do all our best to make the century-old dream come true. We all must be proud that Armenia, our homeland, is becoming strengthened thanks to our people's permanent efforts. This period is really of historic importance. Present-day world brings us face to face with new challenges. And I am sure we'll be able to overcome them thanks to unity and devotion. Dear Compatriots, brothers and sisters, 18th anniversary is considered to be the threshold of full age. And the independent Armenian statehood is today crossing that threshold. I address my special greetings to our children, the "generation of independence" which was lucky enough to be born in free and independent Republic of Armenia," RA Premier stressed.
