Amenian President visits all major Armenian world-wide communities first timeSeptember 25, 2009 - 20:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "The purpose of President Serzh Sargsyan's visit to major Armenian communities of the world is to become familiar with views and attitudes of the Armenian diaspora in regard to normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations," Deputy Chief of President's Administration Vigen Sargsyan told a meeting with journalists today. According to Vigen Sargsyan, the pan-Armenian tour of the President is the first such initiative having a supranational and pan-national character, and involving all major Armenian centers of the world, where public opinion of the Diaspora is shaped. As part of his tour, President Serzh Sargsyan will visit and have regional meetings in New York City, Paris, Los Angeles, Beirut and Rostov-on-Don. According to him, in each of these cities the president will spend less than a day. " Los Angeles will be the only exception, where, besides meeting with representatives of the Armenian diaspora, the president will give interview to the Armenian mass media of the United States,", Mr. Sargsyan said.
