AVSHAR WINERY PRODUCTS ADVERTISING PROHIBITED IN RUSSIAMarch 28, 2002 - 22:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian competent authorities have issued an order on stopping of the advertising of Armenian brandies of Avshar winery and «Akhtamar» brandy in the «Empire of taste» magazine. The content of ethyl alcohol in these beverages is more than 15%. According to the RF legislation, advertising of such products is allowed only in the organizations involved in the production and sales of alcoholic products. It should be noted the same order prohibits the advertising of «Jamenson» whisky, «Beloe Zoloto», «Klinskaya», «Stolichnaya», «Altay», «Nasha vodka», «Gautier», «Remy Martin», «Bisquit» and «Nemiroff» vodkas. In the interview with «Arminfo» journalist in Avshar winery Yerevan office was explained that the matter concerns not the claims on the quality of the production but the observance of the legislation of Russia. And what is more, the prohibition concerns only the advertising in the «Empire of taste» magazine and this will not affect the volume of sales of products in the Russian market.
