Yerevan claims to World Book Capital title

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova, RA MFA press office reported.



Congratulating Ms. Bokova on the election and inviting her to Armenia, Minister Nalbandian appreciated highly the programs UNESCO implements in Armenia.



He also requested to include the 500th anniversary of Armenian typography in UNESCO calendar and said that Yerevan will submit a bid for the title of World Book Capital in 2012.
