NATO Defense Ministers to meet in Bratislava

PanARMENIAN.Net - NATO Defense Ministers will meet in Bratislava, Slovakia, on October 22 and 23 to discuss assistance to Afghan army and police, said Erik Sandahl of the NATO Headquarters Crisis Management and Operations Directorate.



"Local army and police should take on responsibility for the country's security," he said during Yerevan-Brussels TV space bridge on Wednesday.



He said 72 thousand troops from NATO member states are deployed in Afghanistan presently.
