Workshop on Internal Audit starts in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The three-day workshop on internal audit function within the program"Managing Public Expenditure - training promotion» (PEM-PAL) kicked off in Yerevan. The workshop involved experts on internal audit from 15 countries. This program is being implemented with the World Bank assistance and aimed to improve capacity to manage public finances in Europe and Central Asia.



According to Karen Brutyan , the head of coordination of the procurement process of the Ministry of Finance of Armenia, at the initiative of the Armenian government reforms in the internal audit of the public sector have been implemented, and now the Parliament of Armenia discuss the second draft law of the external audit of the public sector.



Arman Batyan , the executive of the financial affairs of the World Bank for Armenia and Georgia added that the Introduction of the internal audit system is one of the constituents on the road to institutional reforms in Armenia.
