Datalex System implementation will encourage further legislative reforms in ArmeniaOctober 23, 2009 - 17:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 23, Marriott Armenia Hotel hosted Datalex public information booth presentation, attended by RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, RA Justice and Health Ministers, RA Ombudsman, Prosecutor General and representatives of law enforcement agencies. The program is implemented by RA Justice Ministry with the assistance of WB, RA and Netherlands' government. System implementation will promote public control over legislative system in Armenia, through increasing system transparency. The system will provide information on legislative processes, legal cases, court decrees and final forensic acts, thus encouraging further legislative reforms, said Tigran Sargsyan. Judicial Reform Project Director, Artur Tunyan, presenting system operating regime, noted that Datalex can be operated both in information booths and monitors located at Yerevan's court buildings, Justice Ministry, Ombudsman's office and regional courts. The booths will provide a possibility to pay taxes and obtain information from governmental websites. "Starting October 23, the system will become available to all RA citizens, enabling them to use Datalex to attain information on any forensic material they're interested in," Tunyan emphasized.
