Armenia to make reservations to Protocols in case of ratifying themOctober 28, 2009 - 16:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "I am against ratification of Armenian-Turkish Protocols since they do not clearly state further developments, while it will be very difficult for Armenia to neutralize possible negative consequences," Democratic Party Leader Aram Sargsyan told a news conference in Yerevan. At that he noted that Turkey is now more than ever interested in ratification of Protocols since they enshrine three main principles which are of interest to Turkish side: mutual recognition of borders, normalization of ties with bilateral obligations and possible obstacles towards international recognition of Genocide. Mr. Sargsyan also proposed that Armenian parliament adopt memorandum to Protocols, introducing Armenian side's reservation to issues that may be subject to speculation. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
