With regard to his own candidacy, he said he was representing Armenian National Congress (ANC) and might withdraw his candidacy only in case RA Administrative Court satisfied Nikol Pashinyan's claim on obtaining permission to run for election. In that case, Hovhannisyan promised to demand Pashinyan's release to enable him to conduct pre-election campaign on equal footing with other candidates. "If not, I will fill the gap, and advance Nikol Pashinyan's theses during my campaign." Speaker also added that in case Administrative Court did not satisfy Pashinyan's claim he'd propose all contenders to withdraw their candidacies in support of Editor-in-Chief of "Haykakan Zhamanak". Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
