ARMENIA AND IRAN READY TO MILITARY COOPERATION, IRANIAN DEFENSE MINISTER CONSIDERS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia and Iran are ready to cooperation in the military sphere, stated Iranian Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani, who had arrived in Yerevan on a two-day official visit. In his opinion, the cooperation between the two countries rests on the geo-strategic interests of the two states. At the same time Ali Shamkhani stressed that the Armenian-Iranian military cooperation would not be directed against any third countries. He expressed confidence that the development of Iran's relations with Southern Caucasian countries would contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the region. The Iranian Minister will meet with high rank leadership of Armenia. This will result in signing the Protocol of understanding together with his Armenian counterpart Serge Sargsian.
