The opening ceremony was attended by German Ambassador to Armenia Hans-Jochen Schmidt, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Ghazinyan, French Ambassador to Armenia Serge Smessov as well as diplomats, university professors and students. 20 posters featuring numerous photos on the fall of Berlin Wall are displayed. "The citizens of the German Democratic Republic had enough will to accomplish a peaceful revolution. It is through their efforts that Germany was reunited," Ambassador Schmidt said. RA Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Ghazinyan, for her part, said that Berlin Wall fall turned a dream of united, peaceful and stable Europe into reality. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
