Parliament Committee delays discussions over bill on recognizing Nagorno KarabakhDecember 4, 2009 - 19:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly's Standing Committee on Foreign Relations discussed Friday the draft law "On Recognizing Nagorno Karabakh Republic". The bill was brought in Parliament by Heritage faction on October 15.Discussions revealed parliamentarians' negative attitude to draft law which is deemed as an impeding factor in conflict settlement process. Considering committee's opinion, leader of "Heritage" faction Stepan Safaryan proposed that discussion over the bill be delayed for 90 days. Proposal was approved by committee members. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
