Armenian leadership silent about culprits of March 1 events

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is still experiencing political crisis, with March 1, 2008 tragic events remaining undisclosed and over a dozen of oppositions kept in custody, the leader of People's Party of Armenia said.

"The authorities have done their utmost to hide the true culprits, as they did after October 27, 1999 violence in the parliament, Stepan Demirchyan told a news conference on Wednesday.

At that, he stressed the importance of solidarity of the nation and conduction of extraordinary elections in Armenia.

When asked by journalists about ANC's future steps to resolve the above-mentioned problems, Mr. Demirchyan said the party will continue its struggle for re-establishing constitutional order in the country.
