Debate on Armenian Genocide to revive in U.S. Congress in early 2010

PanARMENIAN.Net - The debate on the Armenian Genocide Resolution in the U.S. Congress will revive in early 2010, according to Armen Rustamyan, member of ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary group, chairman of RA NA committee on external relations.



"During a meeting with Mr. Philip Gordon, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, I emphasized that the ongoing dialogue between Yerevan and Ankara should not hamper the process of recognition of the Armenian Genocide," he said. "The campaign for worldwide recognition of the Armenian Genocide should gain new impetus."

The Cabinet of Ministers decided on Thursday, November 9 to allocated AMD 120 million to arrange the gathering.
