BUILDING SOLAR ELECTRIC POWER STATION PLANNED IN ARMENIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - The building of a solar electric power station is planned in Armenia this year. In the words of chairman of "Grand Holding" Hrant Vardanian, it will be an experimental station of 100 kW, which will let study the opportunities of using alternative energy sources in Armenia. In the words of former director of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant Suren Azatian, the performance factor of the station is not known yet and it will be determined in the course of the work. If in the world practice the degree of efficiency of similar stations makes 2-3%, in the given project it may make 16%, Azatian said. In any case the index will be much higher than that of hydroelectric power plants, he added. Director of the Institute of Radiophysics of Armenia Paris Heruni fathered the project.
