Alexander Arzumanyan: No one is aware as to subject of conversation between RA and Turkish Foreign Ministers

PanARMENIAN.Net - RA Foreign Ministry-circulated information on telephone conversation between Edward Nalbandian and his Turkish counterpart is meant for internal use, ex RA Foreign Minister Alexander Arzumanyan said.

As he told a news conference in Yerevan, no one is aware as to the subject of conversation between RA and Turkish Foreign Ministers. "Still, I doubt that during the telephone conversation Edward Nalbandian took a tough stance on Turkey's dragging out Protocols' ratification," Alexander Arzumanyan stressed.

The Protocols aimed at normalization of bilateral ties and opening of the border between Armenia and Turkey were signed in Zurich by Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu on October 10, 2009, after a series of diplomatic talks held through Swiss mediation.

On January 12, 2010, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia found the protocols conformable to the country's Organic Law.
