INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION GROWTH IN ARMENIA ENSURED MAINLY BY SPHERES OF MECHANICAL INDUSTRY, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, METALLURGY AND LIGHT INDUSTRY

PanARMENIAN.Net - Industrial production growth in Armenia in 2001 is 8.7%. As "Arka" reports, this is stated in the report of the trade and industry minister introduced to the government. The considerable growth was ensured due to light industry (134%), mechanical and electrical engineering (143%), construction material and ore mining (127%). At the same time recession in jewelry sphere (95%) and chemical industry (79%) is observed. It should be noted that the figures are reported according to the reports of 252 leading industrial enterprises.
