PATRIARCH OF RUSSIA ALEKSIY II PRESENTED AWARD TO ARMENIA'S PARLIAMENT HEAD FOR CONTRIBUTION TO CONSOLIDATION OF UNITY OF EAST-CHRISTIAN PEOPLES

PanARMENIAN.Net - The chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Armen Khachatryan is awarded for the contribution to the consolidation of the unity of East-Christian peoples. This award is instituted by the International fund of the unity of Orthodox peoples. The prize was presented to Khachatryan by Russia's Patriarch. Russia's President Vladimir Putin, Serbian Patriarch Pavel, vice Premier of Lebanon's government Isam Fares are also prize laureates. The speaker has decided to transfer the $20 thousand prize to the fund of reconstruction of Lazarev institute of eastern languages, established in Moscow in 19-th century by Armenian businessman and Maecenas Lazarev.
