"DAVIDOFF" SWISS COMPANY BROUGHT SUIT AGAINST ITS ARMENIAN COMPETITOR "CIGARONNE" FIRMJanuary 18, 2002 - 23:13 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "Davidoff" Swiss company, which is one of the biggest producers of high quality tobacco commodities in the world, has brought a suit against "Cigaronne" Armenian firm, producing elite cigarettes. The Armenian company production, which is mainly consumed abroad, is competing with "Davidoff" production at the world market. The Armenian firm production success caused disturbance of the Swiss firm, which filed a suit against the business competitor, accusing it that "Cigaronne" package design had elements similar to those of "Davidoff" package. Let us note that some 75% of the Yerevan firm production is sold outside Armenia, being supplied by roundabout ways even to Azerbaijan. "Cigaronne" production volume increased 30% last year.
