ISSUE ON NON-FULFILLMENT OF ENGAGEMENTS IS ON AGENDA OF PACE WINTER SESSION FIRST MEETING

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan foreign minister Vailayat Guliyev did not manage to persuade the European council leadership to abstain from including the issue on political prisoners in the agenda of the forthcoming PACE session. The deputies will consider the issue on non-fulfillment of the engagements undertaken at the joining the European Council January 24. The issue is the third in the agenda. The situation will be introduced by the reporter of the committee for human rights George Klerfite. The report will be followed by debates. It is possible that the decision to impose sanctions against Azerbaijan will be made during the winter session.
