Oncoming voting at US Congress not agreed with White House

The decision of US House Committee on Foreign Affairs to put House Resolution 252 on vote was taken due to efforts of US Armenian Community, as well as congressmen, unwilling for Genocide issue to stay hostage to Turkey, head of Hay Dat Bureau, Kiro Manoyan said.



As he told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the House Committee hasn’t agreed the oncoming voting with the White House.



According to Kiro Manoyan, the visit of Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg aims to urge Armenia to continue with rapprochement process.



Head of Hay Dat Bureau did nor preclude the possibility for Turkey to undertake steps toward normalisation of ties with Armenia. “Yet, this would be only a show put up for the eyes of international community,” he explained.
