Armenian peacekeepers in Afghanistan awarded commendationMarch 9, 2010 - 17:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian peacekeepers in Afghanistan, awarded commendation by the Germany's military leadership for the good outcomes of actions ensuring additional security, which have been carried out by their own initiative in the Kunduz airport, press office of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported. Armenian peacekeepers from 14 February 2010 are in the Afghan province of Kunduz, where they ensure the airport security. Armenian unit is a part of German units of the international force to maintain stability in Afghanistan (ISAF). Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
